Dear Readers,
Hello and thanks for checking out my web site.
“It starts with a dream. Dreams are how we figure out where we want to go. Life is how we get there. Allow for traffic.”
Kermit the Frog
I was raised in Chester County, Pennsylvania in a three-hundred-year old stone farmhouse. Think Laura Ingalls Wilder and Little House on the Prairie and you have it. The youngest of six, I was always a bookworm, devouring Gone with the Wind in one marathon session. My father was a writer, but never published. I hope someday to publish his short stories. After college, I fell into the dream job—advertising account executive handling hotel accounts. I travelled extensively to distant resorts. Tough job, but someone had to do it. After I married and moved to upstate New York, I worked as public relations director for a local college and became a volunteer EMT with our town’s rescue squad. I also worked as a coach and a multi-sport official. I spend most of my year on a small farm in upstate New York with horses, chickens, cats, and Great Danes, and spend my summers with my husband—and lots of visits from our children and extended family—on a magical island in the Georgian Bay in Ontario.
My writing journey started there, on Mijakwat Island twenty years ago.
The traffic’s been heavy but the dream lives on.
Thanks for reading.
